The Association of Professional Pet Care Specialists (APPCS) is run by a voluntary board of
6 professionally qualified
experts
from the UK, USA, Canada and worldwide who come from a wide
range of pet
care industry sectors and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Association.
We currently have members from
all over the world: dog groomers, dog breeders, dog trainers, kennel workers, owners, behaviourists and many others currently
working in the pet care business.
The APPCS
works on behalf of its members to raise the profile of their professionalism and commitment to the pet care industry. We provide
membership and promote education for pet training, care, and breeding throughout the industry.
Uniquely, the APPCS
includes an ACCREDITED BREEDERS ASSOCIATION.
Accredited breeders have undergone special training in
breeding, whelping and rearing of puppies, and agree to their breed club's Code of Conduct (when relevant)
and the APPCS BREEDERS CODE OF CONDUCT in the breeding and rearing of all puppies.
Membership in the APPCS can not simply be bought.
Our members have put
the time and effort into earning a Certificate or Diploma that demonstrates they have
taken the time necessary for their professional development and success.
